Sennheiser MKH20
Flexible omnidirectional microphone
- after the MKH40 (cardioid), the MKH20 was the second model of Sennheiser's newly developed HF studio microphones from the mid-1980s onwards
 - because of its ability to switch between free-field and diffuse-field equalization (+6 dB), it is ideally suited for both close range and distant sources outside the reverberation radius
 - slight directivity at high frequencies
 - low distortion and exceptionally low inherent self-noise (10 dBA)
 - 10 dB pad switchable
 - withstands high sound pressure levels
 - two specimens with consecutive serial numbers
 - manufacturing period: 1986-2021

Favourite applications: Close micing of all kinds of instruments; recording of orchestras and large ensembles, choir, room and atmos (AB stereophony). With the MKH30 you can also realize MS stereophony
